Only because this is not a socio political platform...just a blog about things that go on here at the farm.
But because my neck is stiff and my back is killing me from a pair of hairy and scary rides on Wyatt the past 2 days (note to self - he is terrified of the grinder noise on metal surfaces), here's what's up with the bridge -
Here is a full album of photos on the Farm Facebook Page. There are also several videos there that you can observe the workers cutting the plates loose directly over the water with no safe guards in place to catch the debris from entering the water supply.
So I'm not going to belabor the pollution, corruption and government sanctioned destruction of lives and public water. It's not worth it.
If anyone has any contacts in the News Media - please send them our way as this is going to affect far more than our little valley.

OINK! OINK!!! WARNING!!! Government PORK ahead!!!!!!!!
Remember me blogging about wasteful government spending??????
Check this out!!!
County officials sent a repair crew out last week and informed us that they had to do "critical" repairs on 4 of the steel trusses beneath the road surface that had been damaged since the 2002-3 repair work. They have been sending out a repair crew to"work" on the Watermark Rd. bridge for the past couple of week. The crew chief has been very careful to warn us of loud noises and entering the pastures, etc. Today they finished removing all the steel which was added during the 2002-2003 total renovation of the bridge and dropped the weight limit from 10 tons to 8 tons.
Amazing to think that all of the 'repair work' needed to be removed in just 9 years! And now the bridge is incapable of handling the weight that it carried previously. Hmmmmmmm. Smells fishy to me.
OINK! OINK!!!!!!! OINK!!!!!!!!!!!
PORK! Government bloody pork project!!!! I cry foul for all the tax payers of Chester County!!!! A project that took months of planning, repair work, engineers and TAX DOLLARS is being erased in time to....wait for it......SPREND MORE BLOODY MONEY!!!!!!
Is anyone else annoyed by this????
Bring on November! I can't wait to vote every single incumbent out of office. To hell with party affiliation. If they've been there for a term and haven't found a way to get things done - it's time to get out and let someone else in to clean up the mess!!!
That's the bridge last fall (September 2011)
And this is from March 22nd -

Voting is just around the corner!!!
So it is almost time to hold our politicians accountable! Mark your calendars - either the hard copy ones or on your Smart Phones! Get out the VOTE!!
Let's get a hold of the wasteful spending and those who are rubber stamping projects like this one!!!!! After all, what is another $12,000,000??? Who cares what the water supply is like for the City of Chester?
Come on Upper Oxford Township - we need to support Joe Sexton (a write in candidate) for Township Supervisor. He is opposed to wasteful projects like this one! The recent purchase of a backhoe by the current township officials is inexcusable. The one that was owned & paid for the township residents was in need of a NEW BATTERY. There was nothing else wrong with it. But NO!!! Our Supervisors purchased a BRAND NEW $58,000.00 Backhoe instead of simply replacing an inexpensive part. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE!!!! And as a write in - you need to not vote a straight party ticket - fill in your circles, write in his name...let's put a stop to irresponsible government - local, regional and national!!!
