Our township will hear about how the county plans demolish this bridge and replace it with a modern multimillion dollar one on Monday night. Word has it that comments are limited to two minutes. People, we have arrived at the land of bureau

cratic insanity. It will be mostly paid for by the federal government.. already 16 trillion dollars in debt.

Local, county and state officials have admitted there are no engineering studies to justify this expensive action.

Let's DO something to stop the madness!!!!! 

Now that the Election is behind us there is an opportunity for citizens to stand up and be heard on the Watermark Road Bridge Project! 

But first we must deal with a few facts!

1. There have been 0 Engineering Studies

2. The Bridge Czar of Chester County has said the "Eye of Sauron" is fixed on this bridge and it will come down

3. The County sent a crew last year to remove all of the reinforcing steel that was put underneath a decade ago without notifying anyone and the weight restriction was dropped to 8 Tons AFTER it was "improved" in 2002-2003 on the county Payroll with said reinforcing steel and refurbishment

4. 1 School Bus crosses it 4x per school day

5. It is a one lane bridge

6. The Fire Chief has stated that the fire trucks would not come over it due to the narrow roads that access the bridge. They would come down the hill to our property from Homeville/Street Road and Routes 896/10/41

7. The Township has a "permit" to send heavier trucks over the bridge even though they are beyond the weight restriction

All of this is worth an estimated $12-25 MILLION dollars of Taxpayer Money.

At the December Township Meeting for Upper Oxford, there is a forum with the engineering firm, Township Officials and various other official persons. A grand opportunity to stand up and be heard!!

County officials sent a repair crew out last week and informed us that they had to do "critical" repairs on 4 of the steel trusses beneath the road surface that had been damaged since the 2002-3 repair work. They have been sending out a repair crew to"work" on the Watermark Rd. bridge for the past couple of week. The crew chief has been very careful to warn us of loud noises and entering the pastures, etc. Today they finished removing all the steel which was added during the 2002-2003 total renovation of the bridge and dropped the weight limit from 10 tons to 8 tons.

Amazing to think that all of the 'repair work' needed to be removed in just 9 years! And now the bridge is incapable of handling the weight that it carried previously. Hmmmmmmm. Smells fishy to me.

PORK! Government bloody pork project!!!! I cry foul for all the tax payers of Chester County!!!! A project that took months of planning, repair work, engineers and TAX DOLLARS is being erased in time to....wait for it......SPREND MORE BLOODY MONEY!!!!!!

Bring on November! I can't wait to vote every single incumbent out of office. To hell with party affiliation. If they've been there for a term and haven't found a way to get things done - it's time to get out and let someone else in to clean up the mess!!!
