Bill Alphin outdid himself!

There is no other way to put it...the photos he shot at our inspection were/are just super! So I'll let them speak for themselves!

If you are ever interested in having Bill do some photography for you - just pop him an email or give him a call - www.alphinsphotography.com

Updated baby pictures

Nancy and Dale sent some photos of Worth the Wait by Waldaire up last week! Sorry it has taken me so long to post them!

"Remi" is quite a little cutie as he follows his mama around the ring!

A bit of the work-away project is getting finished

As some of you have noticed, the website has moved over the past few months.

Quite a few of the pages are being finished this week and up for your viewing pleasure.

www.watermark-farm.net

If you happen to catch any typos or grammatical errors - don't be shy! Pop me a note and we'll get them fixed as fast as we possibly can! There have been a lot of late nights involved, so I know I haven't caught all of the errors!

Many thanks!!

Plantation Results

Kitty (As You Wish WF) had her debut at Training Level today with Sally! She had a good test (small bits that need a bit of improvement but no major mistakes), super stadium and superb cross country to finish on her dressage score of 35.5 and that was good enough for second place!!! Yay for Kitty! And huge thanks go out to Sally and the rest of Team Cousins as they have worked so hard to build such an awesome foundation on our girl!!!! It is a real treat to watch them go around as all of Sally's experience and good riding make it look so very, very easy... :) Video of all three phases and warm-up will follow tomorrow. There is a storm rolling in as I am typing, so I need to shut down the computer soon.

Sally had a good day on her other rides with a win at Novice on Special Dark and a 3rd on Hyperabad at Beginner Novice!

Nat (Sally's husband) had a good go on their lovely Crispin - who is one of the kindest, most gentle equines I have ever been around. They ended up 4th in their division of Training. Congrats to Nat & Crispin. I will be uploading their stadium & cross country some time tomorrow...just need to edit the jiggly camera bits out first!

Our new working student Melissa had an awesome go on her pony and they finished with just their dressage score for a 4th place as well. My best friend Randa won her division of Baby Novice with her pride and joy. And Julie from SBS won her division of Novice as well! So a really super day for us and a lot of our close friends and business associates! Congratulations to everyone!!!!! (3 wins, 1 second, 1 third and 2 fourths...not a bad weekend!)

Another schooling day off the farm!

We took a jaunt over to Vince Dugan's this afternoon with Karin & Adelaide (Addie), Sara & Wallace (Lacy) and Wakanda (Wendy) & me. Sara had a quick jump school with Addie, which was very successful and pleasant to watch.

Then it was time for Karin to have a school on her beautiful girl! :)

It was then Lacy's turn to have a round or two with Sara! She is really beginning to develop into such a lovely girl! It was really neat to have her & Addie on the same trip as they have the same mother - Aly Alice!

After watching Lacy & Sara school over some jumps, it was time for Wendy to get into the action! So we played 'Hack Class' and all three ladies went around the perimeter and did a mini-hack class!

October AWR/NASPR Inspection Reminder

This is the first reminder to get in contact with the Office (406) 734-5499 to get your paperwork in order for the October 11, 2009 Inspection here at Watermark Farm. The closing date is just a few weeks away (August 11th), so please let us know that your are hoping to attend!

We need a headcount of people who would like a professional handler, braider and/or to sign up for photographs (www.alphinsphotography.com) or video their horse's inspection (www.videobypatrick.com).

For those of you who would like to utilize Klaus' handling services, we need a commitment of at least 10 in order for him to make the trip here...so please let us know ASAP.

If you are planning to do the performance section of the Inspection, please contact us so we know whether to have the dressage ring set, or the jump course. If you are planning on doing the driving test, that too requires a bit of set-up, so we'd love to hear from you soon! :)

We do have a few stalls still available and can make arrangements for additional stabling accommodations as well...so some advance notification would be great! :)

There are several B&B's within 10 minutes of the farm - The Log House (610) 932-9257 is just one that I know off of the top of my head and then there is the Nottingham Inn (20-25 minutes) 610 932-4050 or the Hilton in Kennett Square (25 minutes) 610 444-9100.

There are several really good local restaraunts and hidden treasures for your palate - if anyone would like a list, I can certainly post that as well! :)

Schooling show photos

We're in the middle of bringing in some more hay (just 19 acres this time), so I am pushed for time to write up the commentary for the show yesterday. Please check back and I'll fill in details ASAP - there are storms rolling in tonight/tomorrow, so the hay HAS to be finished & in the barn. :)

Alexis, Adelaide & Smart went to the show and returned home with 4 Firsts and 1 second place.

All photos were shot by Melissa Gartland and video clips are to follow.

I do have to give a quick shout out of thanks to Karin Roseman for allowing me to show her special girl Adelaide...she is AWESOME and a real treat to ride! :)
