Photos and video of the Whizard's Lair youngsters...

We had an off the farm adventure this afternoon and went to Conowingo to see Hoppy and Winter's lovely Waldaire & Avebury WF youngsters. I promise to come back and organize these photos...the video of Whistfull jumping with Winter is uploading onto You Tube and my connection can not keep up with the data transfer to reorganize this blog post. So here is the link to Whistfull's video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lmp2DY-m3c

It was really fun to go down and see these youngsters are they are all very reminiscent of the 'Family' of horses that we know so well here at Watermark Farm. About Dun reminds me of Dynamite...mannerisms, movement and temperament...it may as well be the same horse. April Moon is a more mellow version of Double Bounce. Wayfarer, Well Maid and Whistfull are the typical Waldaire clones - they look like their mothers but have his steady, mellow nature and tractable character. The trip was a lot of fun and many thanks to Hoppy, Winter and Cliff for letting us all come down!

Wayfarer is a 2007 grey gelding by Waldaire out of the imported Westphalian Calido I mare - Calida. He currently stands just shy of 16.1 hands.

April Moon is the darkest grey Avebury WF youngster and simply just lovely to watch and interact with...charming, friendly and so very, very pretty. :) Her dam is Hope who is by the eventing sire Babamist and out of Jacmel by If Only...making "Luna" 78% blood (TB & AA by definition).

This is Well Maid (Wayfarer's full sister). She is quite tall for her age and just a lovely filly.

About Dun is the creamy colored grey gelding. He is a 2008 Avebury WF son out of Hoppy's hunting mare Susquehannah by Babamist out of Little Dun May (and Appendix QH).

This is Calida - doesn't she have the prettiest face??? The Ramses blood certainly does show! :)
