Avebury's big news!

Avebury is off to have an adventure with Ryan Wood (www.woodstockeventing.com) in the irons this weekend! They are heading down to the Loudon Horse Trials in Virgina. Normally that statement would just be followed by the typical 'good luck, have fun' but this time is a bit special...

THEY ARE GOING PRELIMINARY!!!!!

Whew...now I feel better! :) So now I can say, Good Luck to Ryan and Dillon in a calm, rational tone.

Here are some photos of Avebury schooling the past 2 days with Ryan and Ellie.

Thank you's go out the the 'crew' at True Prospect Farm for taking such good care of our boy this weekend!

Best of Luck Ryan!!!

Daylily WF is all set to continue her undersaddle training!

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Roddy Strang of Sport Horse Training, Inc. in Kirkwood, PA! He has given another of our homebred horses a fantastic start to their undersaddle career!!

Here are some snapshots of Daylily WF (Dressage Royal x Achtung Again aka Lily by Again and Again). We call this filly Stella around the farm and she is The Sweetest...just like her mama! Stella is going well walk, trot and canter (knows her leads) and hacks wonderfully! So exciting to have another super youngster to bring along!!!

Avebury and Ryan Wood Photos from today!

Avebury is getting ready to unleash some big news...but that is for later in the week!! ;)

Here are some schooling photos from today! Thanks to Ryan for giving him such a super schooling ride! They were doing some tricky gymnastic exercises in the arena and then moved onto some cross country obstacles. Avebury thought nothing was strange when they negotiated the Advanced corner to corner option...very laid back and confident! :) How exciting for the future!!!

Blue ribbons for Wizard!!!

Wizard WF (Waldaire x Abracadabra WF by Again and Again) won 2 of his 3 classes today and was second in the third! His manners were impeccable and we are so excited for his future as a riding horse and breeding stallion! Heartfelt thank you's go out to the organizers, staff and volunteers who made our fun day possible at the Fair Hill Breed Show I.

As it was our first undersaddle competition, there are always some 'What if' questions that a rider has going into the arena. Wizard has fully answered all of my queries with a resounding, "So? What is all the fuss about?" He is a wonderful youngster and while I am terribly biased...he is the real deal for the future. For example, one competitor got unloaded straight away in the first class and we had a 15 minute hold while the EMT's attended to her. He was totally focused and relaxed - never called out or acted silly and it was a good 1/2 mile hack from the trailers to the ring. No lunging, no handler - just the 2 of us out for a stroll till it was time to go to work! :) I'm a proud mama!

But I am remiss in thanking people!!! My undying gratitude goes out to my parents for allowing me to ride their horses - I am the luckiest person on the planet to have access to such talent, movement and brains! Lori & her crew at CEE for organizing another great day and doing all that they do with suh efficiency - you guys are the best! Sara & Melissa for their help with the other horses. Sandro for all that he does! And an extra thank you goes out to mom who knows how to let me focus and be 'in the zone' with her horses when it is time to compete...couldn't do what I do without all your help and support! Thank you everyone!!!!

Are you looking for something to do on Saturday??

If you are interested in sport horse breeding or if you just like horses, please consider attending the Fair Hill Breed Show either Saturday or Sunday. It is being held at the Fair Hill Natural Resource Center (main entrance) and open to the public.

Our junior stallion Wizard WF (Waldaire/Again and Again) will be making his undersaddle debut with Ellie in the afternoon on Saturday. Supporters are welcome! There is usually a concession stand with tasty treats and Fair Hill is very spectator friendly. Classes start at 8AM and run through the afternoon!

Hope to see you there!

Avebury had another lovely school with Ryan Wood today over at True Prospect.

Our thanks goes out to Ryan (as always) for giving him such a lovely ride!

As You Wish & Ellie also had a bit of change in their daily routine and enjoyed some light flat work & jumping under Ryan's watchful eye...

Father and Son have a grand day with a junior rider!

It was a lovely day today! Wizard and Waldaire had a great opportunity - a client brought her daughter (who is a very accomplished hunter rider) up for a visit. MM schooled both of the stallions (Avebury was unavailable due to competition) and everyone enjoyed watching them together!

So without any additional fussing or verbal fluffing, enjoy -

This is Waldaire (age 21) with the talented M (age 12) in the irons -

And then Wizard WF (age 4) -

All riding activities were supervised by Oreo. (as we have come to expect, right?)
